Reliquary

about

There's a track on my 1997 Drumlin album called 'The Plough'. This was originally composed and recorded in one day when I got stuck at home because of heavy snow falls. It's a track in two parts and the melody line of one of the parts I found myself singing late last year. So I thought it would be fun to do a complete reworking of that part of the track. Reliquary is what came out of it.

The original melody line can be heard right at the start and occurs in sneaky variations throughout the piece.

One of the key instruments in this track is a Korg Lambda. It's a lovely sounding keyboard but it takes up a lot of room and is somewhat limited in its scope so I had to let it go.
